Marvel movies in order, two ways: release order — the way the story was told — and chronological order, the way events happen inside the MCU timeline. Both lists below are complete and kept current.
Release order or chronological order?
If this is your first pass through the MCU, watch in release order. The films were written to reveal information in that sequence: a cameo lands, a twist stays a twist, and the jokes still work. Chronological order rearranges the MCU timeline so events run from the earliest to the latest, which spoils several reveals but makes the history of the universe unusually clear.
A practical compromise: first watch in release order, then rewatch favourite stretches chronologically. The second pass is where the MCU timeline starts feeling like one continuous history instead of a stack of films.
How the phases fit together
Phases 1 to 3 form the Infinity Saga and end with Avengers: Endgame. Phases 4 onward form the Multiverse Saga, where the timeline itself becomes the plot: branches, variants and a Sacred Timeline that no longer holds. Every entry below is tagged with its phase so you always know which saga you are standing in.
Series belong in the timeline too. Skipping them does not break the films, but several of the biggest multiverse rules — including the ones Avengers: Doomsday leans on — are explained on television, not in cinemas.
