Information we collect
We do not collect personal information unless you choose to sign in. When you create an account, we receive only the basic profile data required for authentication (email address and user ID) through our authentication provider, plus optional account details you submit (such as support or deletion-request emails). We also store your app preferences (language, spoiler level, watch progress and video bookmarks) locally on your device and, if signed in, sync them to your account so they are available across devices. Standard technical data (IP address, device and browser identifiers) may be processed transiently for security and analytics.
How we use information
Preferences and progress are used only to personalize your experience (legal basis: performance of the service you requested). Authentication data is used solely to identify your account and enable cross-device syncing. Support messages are used to respond to you (legal basis: legitimate interest and contract). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Payments and PayPal
The site is free and sells nothing. Voluntary donations are paid through PayPal (via our PayPal.Me link). PayPal collects and processes your payment details (card, bank, or PayPal balance) entirely on its own platform; we never see or store your card numbers. PayPal shares with us only the information needed to confirm a donation (such as a transaction reference and your name or email). PayPal's handling of billing data is governed by PayPal's own privacy policy.
Third-party services
The app uses YouTube embedded players and links to YouTube content; YouTube's privacy practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We also provide an optional PayPal donation link; PayPal handles any donation information directly and independently. Analytics on page usage may be collected through Google Analytics. Where required by law, we may share data with authorities.
Cookies and storage
We use browser localStorage to remember your settings and progress (essential functional storage). Signing in may place session cookies required for authentication. Analytics cookies, where used, measure page usage only. You can manage or clear these through your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep your account data and synced preferences for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your synced data is permanently removed within 30 days. Local data on your device remains until you clear it. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect the data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Your rights
You can clear local data at any time through your browser settings. Signed-in users can delete their synced data by deleting their account from the account panel or via the account deletion page. Depending on your country, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data — contact us to exercise any of them.
